Planing order releases with different priorities and different destinations

Hi,

I am using the OTM 6.2.3 and I am setting the order priority function. However, for it is not working exactly as desired.

I have a scenario where there are 15 order releases:

Order Release1: H10 Priority: 301 Source: LOC_A Destination: LOC_B Volume: 10 CUMTR Weight: 1000 KG

All the order release has the same dimensions and the available equipment can transport 5 order releases.

When planning all of them, enabling the use of the priority function, it was desired that OTM would plan 3 shipments, one containg only the order releases of priority 601 (high priority), one containg only the order releases of priority 301 (medium priority) and one containg only the order releases of priority 1 (low priority).

However, OTM created 3 order releases, one containing all the order releases that has destination LOC_B, one containing all the order releases that has destination LOC_C, one containing all the order releases that has destination LOC_D. It does not considered the priority of the order releases.

The parameter set used was:

PRIORITY IN USE: TRUE
USE PRIORITY IN BUNDLING: FALSE
USE PRIORITY IN CONOPT SORTING: TRUE
ALLOW SMALL DIRECT ORDERS TO BE SPLITTABLE: TRUE
CONSIDER CAPACITY LIMITS: TRUE
USE MULTIPASS MULTISTOP: TRUE
USE PRIORITY IN COST SAVINGS: TRUE
USE PRIORITY IN SPA: TRUE
PLAN SHIPMENT WITH CARRIER COMMITMENT: TRUE
COMPUTE SHIPMENT TIME WINDOW: TRUE
UPPER LIMIT FOR LOW PRIORITY RANGE: 3
UPPER LIMIT FOR MEDIUM PRIORITY RANGE: 600

Question on OTM 6.2 integration with EBS R12.1.3

I am new to OTM installation.

I have installed OTM 6.2 ( app and web tier). Do I have to install an another set
of OTM 6.2 (app and web) for integrating OTM with EBS R12.1.3?

Splitting Bill of Lading Report across pages and nested tables

I have created a custom Bill of Lading report for my client. When I have more then 4 ship units on the page, the page expands to multiple pages.

In Oracle Reports, the previous developer had the report split after 5 lines and repeat the Ship From/Ship To and Date data and then continue with the next 5 lines, etc, etc.

How do you to that in BI Publisher using the Template Builder for Word? I am on OTM 6.1

I have researched the web but I am not seeing a straight forward explination. I have my current template set up as a nested table to take account of a multi-stop shipment with a bill of lading for each stop.

SQL Tuning

Hi,

As a part of performance improvement in OTM we are trying to fine tune the sqls in OTM.

The sqls are extracted from AWR reports by the DBA team.

we are not able to locate the source of the sqls provided to us.

We can find in saved queries,agents,procedures etc directly.

What are all the other option where we can expect the sql to come from.

One such exmaple of the query is as below

GTM 6.2 - Integration with Order Management or Shipment

Hi

Would like to understand whether currently Oracle is providing Oracle GTM integration with Orders only.

I saw an Oracle Presentation where it is mentioned currnetly in 6.2 , GTM functionalitieds enabled for 'Inbound/Outbound Orders' only

Means - Incase Customers want to use GTM post Shipment creation - is it possible or OTM-GTM is for 'Orders' only

In the similar tone- incase one wants to use with EBS R12 and GTM as a standalone product, can it be integrated with Oracle Shipping Execution or it will be with Oracle R12 Order Management ?

Hide the cost Type Others in the finanacial Tab of the Shipment

Hi

We are using Rate Quality Factor in LTL rates and while planning the shipment we are able to see a cost type by name Others in the Finanacial Tab of the shipment which is just an informational cost and not impacting the planning. But our client wants us to Hide this cost from the Financials tab.

1. In RIQ we will be able to hide this cost and we have also tried to create a LOGIC Config set with that RIQ and use it in the planning parameter but this is throwing an error and LTL rates are not used for planning

2.We tried to modify the Manager Layout to hide the cost but we are not able to do it.

Has anyone done this before please share it...

OTM Password Issue

Hello,

I have noticed that if an OTM user has a password that contains one of the below special characters, he/she will get error message saying: "Your login and password are invalid. Please login again here"

We want OTM to accept any character that the password might contain. Is this something related to the OTM login page or is it something configurable within OTM?

LTL Split in Bulk Plan

Hi all,
The current Bulk Plan LTL Split setup on my client side is not working. It will be great if I can get some pointers.

Scenario
3 outbound orders from a DC get planned into 3 destinations A, B and C. Each Order has a volume of 2000 cuft. The equipment is 3000 cuft.

Expected Result
The ideal shipments will be 2 multi-stop shipments DC -> A -> B and DC -> C -> B. In each shipment, the equipment drops 2000 cuft at the first stop
then drops 1000 cuft at the second stop.

Current Result
Currently OTM builds them into 3 separate direct shipments with a higher total cost, though I was able to manually split and merge them into the good result expected as above.

Preliminary Analysis
Based on my understanding on Bulk Plan, if we split the order bundles small enough and choose enumeration algorithm. OTM should be able to evaluate the multi-stop itinerary DC->A->B and DC->C->B, which have lower cost compared with direct, during Multi-stop evaluation.

Setup
Current setup in Parameter Set and all relevant Logic Configuration have turned on all LTL Split switches and have chosen to use most optimized algorithms.

Attached please find an illustration of the issue.
3 blue color shipments are current OTM results and 2 red color Multi-stop shipments are expected.

BI Publisher - Custom Report Issue

I have build a query Template and a Format template.rtf for my report, The report has 2 mandatory input parameters.

Report ID is created and Report is then ran from report manager, As expected it asks user for 2 input fields and once you click submit

Weighted Cost vs Actual Cost

Can anybody tell me the difference between Total Weighted Cost and Total Actual Cost in the BP results screen ? Is there a formula I can use to verify these ?

We are using OTM 6.2.2.

Problem while re-calculating shipment cost

Hello,

I am trying to re-calculating shipment cost in OTM, when I try to do so, I get the below error:

RECALCULATE SHIPMENT COST timed out waiting for SHIPMENT: XXXXXXX. The object is held by activity: SET STATUS (AGENT), Machine: DEFAULT, Thread: agentUtility -3, Process: XXXXX, since: DATE

Can you please advise what might be the cause of the problem?
